Before yayloh — An overly manual email-driven returns process

Initially, Swedish Stockings handled returns via email, which was tedious and time-consuming for its staff and quite frustrating for the customers. The manual nature of this operation implied for customers printing and filling up a return paper form and waiting for customer service to send them the return label. Additionally, as customers could not track the status of their return, customer service received many calls and emails enquiring about the return status. Too many “Where is my return?” calls were consuming a lot of time and damaging customer experience.

The Goal — A fully branded and automated return process to level up brand experience

Swedish Stockings realised that handling returns manually could not last much longer without affecting the brand growth plans. That is when they started to look for a return management platform. After some research, the brand downloaded yayloh from the Shopify App Store.

For example, one of the differentiation factors of Swedish Stockings is their unique 30-day warranty on their products. All warranty-flagged returns are recycled to create new products, adding to the brand’s sustainability promise. Warranty returns add an extra layer of customisation to the return email flow, which Swedish Stockings have covered with yayloh’s integration with Klaviyo.

When a customer submits a warranty request through yayloh’s digital return form, yayloh sends a trigger to Klaviyo. The email and SMS platform pulls out customer data to automatically personalise the email to the customer’s demographics and specific needs when it comes to the logistics of processing this type of return request.
